“The Chamonix Valley is approximately 20 kilometers and nestled between the towering Mont-Blanc range to the south and the Aiguilles Rouges mountains to the north. The birthplace of mountaineering over 200 years ago, Chamonix is still considered the ultimate place to be for all those who share a love of nature and the mountains."

When we based ourselves in Les Houches in 2003 the different mountain owners had all fallen out and the area pass didn't cover everywhere so it was better to buy indivdual passes each day. We suffered low black cloud all week, lots of snow and unpisted runs until the last day when we decided to go through the tunnel under Mount Blanc and had a wonderful sunny day skiing at Courmayeur in Italy on beautifully pisted slopes.
