“Top marks to the architect who designed this purpose-built ski village at 1850m, a snow-sure altitude. Sharing the San Bernardo ski area with La Thuile, La Rosière offers two massive snow bowls to ski - one in France, one in Italy. La Rosière might lack the charm of a historical Alpine village, but the easy access to the main cable car does make up for this. Most hotels, guesthouses and chalets are within walking distance. It is mainly geared up for families, although you'll find some nightlife if you search hard enough.“
Great for beginners as the main slope down to the village is an hugely wide piste which runs all the way from from the top of a six man chair.A fairly quiet resort linked to La Thuile in Italy. You can be over the Italian border in just two chairlifts but you then have to take a mile long drag lift before getting to the main choice of runs and lifts.
