Folgarida

Folgarida Lift

"Folgarida is a modern resort in the middle of a sweet smelling pine forest and only 9 kilometers from Madonna di Campiglio. It is and ideal spot for those who love winter sports and want to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing vacation with family and friends in the mountains.
With an impressive ski area, covering a total of 120 Km of beautiful slopes between the Brenta Dolomites and the Ortles Cevedale group Folgarida offers plenty of opportunities for amusement and pleasure on and off the slopes."

A week spent at Tonale at Christmas during which Ian and I were invited over to Folgarida for the day by the ski reps as we were taking the Rotaski group there early in 1995 folgarida.jpg (55870 bytes)

27 travelled to 'Fullcorridor' where Roy turned up for the first time. Roy's Mrs., Carole, twisted her knee shopping and Martin lost his lift pass. He did however manage to convince the lift operators that his lift pass with Carole's photo on, was him before he grew his hair.

maso2.jpg (27174 bytes)On the 21st anniversary of the first visit to Folgarida, we spend a week in Madonna di Campiglio which is linked by lifts with Marilleva & Folgarida so it's back to the area where it all started for Andy Keeling. A trip over to visit El Maso with some folks who've never been, finds that the bar has been completely demolished & re-built and whilst it's lost the character it had, it's still a great little mountain restaurant but with a bigger choice of food & drink.
